Truck Name:

Foolish Habit

Bio:

Trevor Gohlke is a plumber, by trade, and truck puller from Neshkoro, where a love for motorsports runs deep in his family. He enjoys spending his time at the track doing what he loves. Truck pulling has been part of his family for as long as he can remember. Trevor was first introduced to pulling by his dad and he made his first pull in 2021 at Brat Fest. Since then, he has been pulling for four years.

What drives Trevor to compete is the challenge of learning how to make more power while staying within class specifications and following the rulebook. His favorite part of the sport is being outside at events and meeting new people who share the same interest in pulling. Looking ahead, Trevor hopes to move up into either the Open Stock or Super Stock class. He is excited to continue pulling with his family by teaching his brother how to drive the truck, Foolish Habit.

Truck Name:

Weighted Expectations

Bio:

David, a resident of Markesan, Wisconsin, is a self-employed agricultural engineer with a deep-rooted passion for truck pulling. His connection to the sport runs in the family, as his father was pulling tractors even before he was born. That early exposure laid the foundation for a career that would span more than three decades.

His first official pull was in 1992, competing in the Stock Class at the Green Lake County Fair. Inspired by his neighbor, Dick Guderski, who pulled a truck, he quickly found himself drawn to the thrill and challenge of the sport. What began as a single pull soon grew into a lifelong pursuit fueled by hard work, innovation, and determination.

Over his 33 years in truck pulling, David has competed with several notable vehicles, including a 1952 Chevy known as Bam Bam, a 1972 Chevy called Wild One, a 1989 GMC named Weighted Expectations, and a 1985 GMC nicknamed OOFDA. Today, he competes across multiple classes, including the Stock class, Altered Small Block, Open Stock, Super Stock, and Modified.

He is motivated by the thrill of competition and the satisfaction that comes from continuously improving his trucks. For him, pulling is as much about innovation and progress as it is about performance on the track. One of his favorite aspects of the sport is the opportunity to meet new people and build lasting connections within the pulling community.
