Chris Nighbor of Hancock, Wisconsin, competes in the 2.6 Diesel truck class with his 2004 Chevy Duramax, Second Hand Smoke. He also competed in the Run What You Brung class during the 2024 season. With more than five years of experience behind the wheel, Chris enjoys the challenge of changing things and continually improving his truck. When not on the track, Chris works as a diesel mechanic.

Pulling has been a part of Chris’s life for many years. He was first introduced to the sport over 20 years ago when he attended a pull in Berlin with his father and uncle. That early experience sparked his interest that eventually led him to compete. His father, along with Uncle Mike and Uncle Jeff, all played an important role in inspiring him to get behind the wheel.

One of his favorite parts of the sport is spending time in the pits, seeing how fellow competitors perform, and working together to help grow the sport. Looking ahead, Chris hopes to continue improving his truck and encourages more competitors to join the 2.6 Diesel class with PI Motorsports.
